Thug Notes

Thug Notes is hilarious video commentary on classic literature told in gangsta talk. I showed this website to fellow AP English teachers at a NMSI conference and the teachers and instructors went crazy! If you are trying to hook reluctant readers then these videos are great motivators for students to relate and connect to content that might seem foreign.

Thug Notes is scripted by Sparky Sweets, PhD. It is meant to be funny, yet educational. Students will gain a better idea of the themes of literature after Sparky gives them the low down on the down low.
